60th & Telegraph
60th & Telegraph is a collection of six LEED row houses offer live/work space, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and rooftop decks with bay, bridge and city views. The two buildings, consisting of three single family units, are connected with an auto court providing a transition from the urban edge to the row houses. This auto court was also designed to preserve the existing windows, light and ventilation of a neighboring home. The three units on the West side of the lot face busy urban road. The entry level of these three homes includes a flexible space (vacation rental, art studio, office) with concrete floors, a separate entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows and a full bathroom. The three units located on the East side of the lot boarder single family homes. These three units are shorter in height and have a ground leave outdoor patio space neighboring the existing single family homes. This urban infill project successfully breathes new life into this existing community by contributing to its upliftment, while seamlessly fitting into this absolutely phenomenal location near downtown Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco.
